Pupils get to work on building site
4:11pm Tuesday 6th March 2012 in Business News By Jim Palmer
PUPILS from a Northfleet primary school have brightened up a building site with murals.
Developer Denne and Gravesend Churches Housing Association invited classes from St Botolph’s school in Dover Road to design and paint hoarding around the building site in London Road that will become 16 affordable homes.
Some pupils designed the work based on themes of community and family while others painted.
The housing association donated £500 to the school as a thank you and Denne will supply frames so the work can be displayed at the finished site.
Denne’s managing director Graham Brown said: “Denne is committed to engaging with the communities in which it works, and we are proud to be associated with this school. On behalf of GCHA and Denne, I would like to thank the children from St Botolph’s for their hard work and fantastic designs, which have really brightened up the site”
