Dartford Council is casting a light on small businesses in the run up to Christmas.
Smaller enterprises will have a chance to feature on the council's website and e-newsletter each day, reaching thousands of people.
Council leader Councillor Jeremy Kite hopes it will give a boost to some of the town's hard-working and well-established small firms.
He said: "Dartford is fortunate to be home to lots of large employers but it's the small businesses and entrepreneurs who are the backbone of our local economy.
"I hope residents will take every opportunity to give business to their local traders whenever they can. If the idea is popular with local businesses we'll certainly look to carry it on."
