The Daily Mirror has reported that drugs used to control blood sugar in type 2 diabetes could increase the risk of heart failure and even death. It said that when taken alone, one group of drugs, called the sulphonylureas, increased risk of death by 61% and of heart failure by 30% compared to another drug called metformin. read more
