HITHER GREEN: Student in the final of Miss Black Britain

A STUNNING student is celebrating after reaching the final of Miss Black Britain.

20-year-old Claire Daniels is in the final for Miss Black Britain

Claire Daniels, 20, is competing against 50 other girls for the chance to be signed up to a modelling agency and needs people to vote for her by text.

Miss Black Britain attracted 4,000 entrants aged between 16 and 24.

They modelled swimwear and evening wear and answered questions to get into the final.

Miss Daniels, of Fernbrook Road, Hither Green, said: “It was so scary because I had never done anything like it before.”

The Roehampton University student added: “I only entered the competition because my neighbour encouraged me to.”

All 50 girls are going to the final and will be judged by a celebrity panel which chooses 15 girls for the next round.

The top five girls with the most text votes will automatically join them in the second round of judging before the winner is announced.

The final will be held at the Mermaid Theatre, Blackfriars, on November 14.
