JOYDENS WOOD WOMEN'S INSTITUTE October was our AGM where Sheila Waite was re-elected as president. After the business was finished we had a lively time trying to guess who the members were by the photographs they had brought in of themselves as young girls. read more

ISTEAD RISE WOMEN'S INSTITUTE On October 11, Istead Rise WI members celebrated their birthday with a dinner at the Masonic Hall. The meal was very goof and judging by the lively chatter, members enjoyed their social evening. read more
THAMESIDE DISTRICT WI CONFERENCE The Thameside District Conference was held in Chalk Parish Hall on October 18. Marion Boston, president of Chalk WI welcomed about 70 members from the eight Thameside District WI's. she then handed over the Sylvia Shepherd, district secretary, who chaired the meeting. Mrs Shepherd then welcomed Margaret Clift, a member of the county executive. read more
GRAVESEND EPILEPSY NETWORK Gravesend Epilepsy Network's October Beetle Drive, went ahead thanks to Age Concern who provided the correct Beetle Drive sheet, and GEN member Den who provided the dice. read more

ROWHILL WOMEN'S INSTITUTE Our October meeting commenced with president Eileen Kelly, welcoming a new member and several visitors for the evening. Thanks were also given to Gill Fish and Eileen Mills for organising once again two superb outings to see Billy Elliott followed by Clarence House two days later. read more
