Bromley’s brewery enthusiasts climbed aboard a famous beer bus to rally support for local pubs last week.

The bus took a whistle stop, three-day tour around local pubs in Orpington, Chislehurst and West Wickham from Monday 29 to October 1, as part of National Cask Ale Week.

The red and white branded Bombardier bus visited The Queen’s Head pub and the Black Horse in Orpington, The Railway Hotel in West Wickham and The Queen’s Head in Chislehurst.

Beer lovers attending the events were welcome on board the 1965 Routemaster bus to look around and try the Bombardier ale.

National Cask Ale Week seeks to celebrate great British beer and protect the British pub.

Emily Hudson, marketing manager at Wells and Young Brewery, which makes Bombardier, said: “Our Bombardier bus turns heads wherever it goes so we’re hoping it created a real buzz throughout its tour to inspire people to head to their local pub.”
