Greenwich hospice staff raise £1,500 for charity in triathlon

Greenwich and Bexley Hospice staff pushed themselves to the limit last weekend participating in the UK’s biggest and most iconic triathlon.

The team raised £1,500 for the hospice and came 70th out of the 155 participants and fourth out of 24 in their age group.

The threesome including lead for outreach services Carla Rattigan, estates manager Michael Power and admin assistant Karen McNamara ran around the London Dockland route.

Ms McNamara said: “We really enjoyed it and would recommend it to everyone for a challenge and fun time.”

Fundraising coordinator Jane Borrett, said: “The London Triathlon is such a great event and the Hospice team were truly inspirational.”
