Those guys at Meantime Brewing in Greenwich love craft beer and, as if you wanted proof, they will be serving more than 150 different varieties of the world’s best at their BrewFest later this month.

The Old Brewery in the grounds of the Old Royal Naval College is the setting for the three day event from Saturday, August 23, to Monday, August 25, which will feature international brews, tastings and music.

Meantime’s marketing director Richard Myers said: “We started Brewfest as a celebration of the international craft beer scene – showcasing the quality beers and brewers that have helped turn around the fortunes of the beer category.

“The second annual event in May was such a success that we’ve decided to hold the event twice this year.

“Our aim is to bring different styles and flavours from around the globe into one place for people to enjoy, in a relaxed environment.

“The beer scene in London has never been stronger and it’s modern craft that is driving this revival. BrewFest is our way of celebrating.”

Three bars will serve beers from the UK, America and the rest of Europe, with rare brews through to firm favourites on offer.

As well as the chance to sample them, there will be experts on hand to suggest foods to go with them.

Live music will play in the background while tutored beer and cheese tastings will be hosted in the Old Brewery main room in the evenings.
