If you want to see what happens when photos go wrong, very wrong, carry on scrolling at your own risk.
The picture at the top here of Caroline Bartholomew from Orpington having a bad hair day is a very mild example – there is much worse further down, if you dare.
All the images were submitted for our Worst Photos competition during which we asked people to share the terrible pictures they are most embarrassed by and that should have been deleted.
These sins against photography could include holiday snaps that didn’t turn out as expected, selfies taken at particularly unflattering moments and other horrors which entrants wished had never existed.
Here is a selection of our favourite contributions from the competition, ranging from innocent moments of incompetence while trying to capture scenic shots to more extreme images that are frankly just unexplainable!
If you’re a serious photographer or someone who is easily offended you may not want to browse on.
Thanks to everyone who took part in the competition for being such good sports!

Sophie Griffiths: "The only great thing in this photo is my Chelsea buns!"
Caroline Kelly: "Cocktails at Hard Rock Cafe after a day's walking around New York will do this to ya!"
Leanne Abel: "Such a bad photo. Out of focus and looking rather worse for wear on holiday and wasn't even drunk at this point. Wish it had been deleted!"
Melissa Cannon: "On reflection I knew this was the worst ever photo I have ever seen of myself!"
Angela L Paull: "The night was fun but a bit of a blur."
Anthony Kemp: Well, it's called Boxing Day!"
Jason Robinson: "Keeping it all nice and neat."
Chris Hughes: "Truth or Dare ... DARE!"
Lynn Doe: "Could have been such a great photo if only I hadn't chopped off the swan's beak!"
Lynn Evans: "More steam than train on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway!"
Jeremy Andrews: "Not only the most boring thing to take a photo of but I got my thumb in the shot as well."
Chris Taylor: "Silly Toppa, trusting the kids to give him a makeover!" This picture was chosen as the winner of the competition, and Chris will receive the £50 prize - hopefully to be shared with Toppa here!
