A careless driver smashed their Smart car into a lamp post in Bromley before disappearing.

Met Police were called to Burnt Ash Lane at around 6.30am this morning (August 9) to reports to of a seriously damaged car which had been abandoned.

News Shopper:

A police spokesman said: "The car was seriously damaged.

"The car has been removed and the local authority have made the lamp post safe."
