Around 150 young people from 19 secondary schools in the borough received a Jack Petchey Foundation Achievement Award at an annual presentation held at the Orchard Theatre last month.

They were nominated by their peers and leaders, winning awards for a variety of achievements.

The youngsters, aged 11 to 25, received medallions to go with their certificates and £200 cheques.
