Police say the accident involved two buses.

A spokeswoman for the London Ambulance Service said: "Our staff treated a woman, reported to be in her 40s, for a head injury."

The woman is being taken to the Royal London Hospital as a priority.

Woolwich New Road is blocked both ways between Vincent Road, General Gordon Place, Woolwich Arsenal station and Spray Street.
