No jail for Charlton teen who spread picture of 15-year-old's sex act online
A Charlton teen who took a snap of a 15-year-old girl performing a sex act on him and then spread it online using social media sites has been spared jail.
Dirty Charlie Dimond, of Little Heath, met the girl near Plumstead Common on May 8 last year.
They made their way to the back of a block of flats away from the main road and Dimond then asked the victim to perform a sex act on him, which she agreed to.
But, unknown to her, Dimond took a perverted picture of the sex act. He later sent the snap to her phone.
The image was circulated around various social media sites and ended up being seen by the victim's shocked mother, who contacted police.
Dimond, who had previously admitted engaging in sexual activity with a child, was sentenced at Woolwich Crown Court on June 20 to 14 months, suspended for 18 months.
The teenager, who has been diagnosed with autism, was also given an 18-month supervision order and was placed on the sex offenders register for between three and seven years.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Gemma Charman, from the Met's Sexual Offences, Exploitation and Child Abuse Command, said: "Dimond has shown a total disrespect for the victim in this case, using her for his own ends.
"The victim has shown immense courage all through the investigation but has now seen her abuser convicted. I hope Dimond's conviction will urge other abused girls to find the strength to come forward and seek support and help."
