A 22-year-old man was shot in Catford on Sunday morning.
Police were called to Ravensbourne Park at 6.15am following reports of shots being fired.
The victim has since been discharged from a south London hospital following the shooting.
Detectives from the Met’s Trident Gang Crime Command are investigating and are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact them.
Detective Sergeant Ewan Robertson, from Trident, who is leading the investigation said: "We received several calls regarding gun shots in Ravenswood Park early on Sunday morning, but I'd urge anyone who might have seen what happened, but hasn't contacted police, to get in touch with us to help with our investigation."
Anyone who witnessed the incident in Ravensbourne Park, or who has information should contact police on 101, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
No arrests have been made at this stage.
