Maktum was sentenced to four months behind bars suspended for two years.
A man who smashed up a Gravesend bookies, causing more than £6,000 worth of damage, has been given a suspended prison sentence.
Lionel Maktum, 43, damaged tills, monitors and three gaming machines to the value of £6245.35 at Coral bookmakers on May 14.
At Maidstone Crown Court on August 1, Maktum, of Luton Road, Chatham, admitted one charge of committing criminal damage at the shop in King Street.
He was sentenced to four months in prison suspended for two years and given a three-month curfew to remain indoors from 7pm to 7am while wearing an electronic tag.
Maktum pleaded not guilty to a further count of affray on the same day and the charge was allowed to lie on file.
