An overturned car has caused chaos on the roads in Dartford - Home Gardens remains closed while police assess the damage.

Kent police were called to just before 7am this morning to reports that a black Vauxhall Meriva had collided with a lamppost and flipped on to its side.

South East Coast Ambulance Service treated a woman for suspected collar bone injuries at the scene before transferring her to Darent Vally Hospital.

A spokesman for Kent Police said: "The road is currently closed while the vehicle is recovered and any damage caused to the lampost is assessed."

Kent Fire and Rescue were called to the scene at 6.57am.

A spokesman for the fire and rescue service said: "We were called to reports of a car that had rolled on to its side.

Oh no! It was only a few days ago that a car overturned in Hawley Road.

Anyway, I hope the woman makes a speedy recovery.
