Police are trying to track down the owner of a mysterious gold ring which was handed into a Dartford shop last month.

The piece of jewellery, shaped like a sovereign, was handed into a store in Hythe Street on March 21.

Officers have circulated a picture of the ring to try to trace its owner.

Detective Chief Inspector Ann Lisseman said: “We are hoping to reunite a gold ring handed into a shop in Dartford with its owner.

“If you think the ring is yours, you will need to be able to prove it. This could be through providing a receipt or photograph.”
