Bexley College to host brickwork competition

BEXLEY College has been chosen to host a regional brickwork competition.

The annual National Guild of Bricklayers competition on March 27 will involve 24 hopefuls from across London battling it out for a place in the national final.

Split into two categories, junior and senior, the competitors will work from technical drawings and be judged by a panel professionally trained experts in the brickwork industry.

Founded in 1932, the Guild of Bricklayers association aims to promote and maintain the highest standards of craftsmanship in brickwork. Its members range from successful apprentices to lecturers.

Bexley College’s Holly Hill Construction Campus will host the London regional competition with the winners going through to the national final in June.
