Toxic chemicals have been found on the riding gear of a motorcyclist after an assault in Orpington.
Police were called to reports of a motorbike being stolen in Arbook Close just after 10pm yesterday (May 13).
The rider, a man, was reportedly assaulted and toxic chemicals were discovered on his protective gear.
He was taken to hospital for treatment where his injuries were assessed as non life-threatening.
He has since been discharged.
No arrests have been made following the incident.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called On Monday, 13 May at 22:04hrs, to Arbrook Close, Orpington to reports of a motorbike being stolen at the location.
“A man was assaulted and toxic chemicals were found on his riding protective gear.
“The victim was taken to a local hospital to assess his injuries and has now been discharged.
“Officers have conducted additional patrols in the area.
“At this stage no arrests have been made.
“Enquires are ongoing.”
